Janet’s elderly mother had a fall, which caused a leg wound needing attention from the providers at Dr. Novikov Wellness and Skin Care. She was referred to the practice by her primary care physician and their overall experience “exceeded expectations.”
“My mom couldn’t say enough about everyone at the practice,” said Janet. “She loved all the doctors and everyone from checking in and being brought into the exam room to setting up appointments. It’s a nice environment.”
Janet was very happy with the excellent healing outcome.
“The wound healed really quickly,” she said. “If left to her own devices, my mom would have had a major infection.”
She attributes the quick healing to the knowledgeable advice, clear communication, and treatment approach that her mom received.
“My mom was always given options to fit her lifestyle,” said Janet. “They took into account her needs and her capabilities as an elderly person. If it was something complicated, she wouldn’t do it. They never talked down to her.”
The patient was given different options for compression including Juxtalite and tubular bandages.
Janet also requested that appointments be coordinated and confirmed with her to avoid confusion.
“The staff was so accommodating with any request we had,” she said. “They even called with an earlier appointment time that opened up because they knew my mother preferred it. They were so on top of it.”
