Wound improvement, provider dedication, and communication are areas Assistant Director of Nursing Will Carney at Sancta Maria Nursing Facility in Cambridge has been “extremely impressed” by while working with Dr. Novikov Wellness and Skin Care wound care team for four months.
“Dr. Novikov and his associates have been exceeding expectations as far as what we expect from wound care providers,” he said. “There’s nothing else we can ask for. We are seeing wound improvements on wounds we didn’t think would improve.”
Will credits this to the practice’s current provider at the facility, Emily Phaneuf, PA-C.
“She is nothing short of amazing,” he said. “She is always available to do evaluations and arrange her schedule to see everyone who needs to be seen. Her follow through with the nursing staff, clinical knowledge and ability to get patients back on the right track all ensure patient quality care and quality of life.”
Will shared an example of the dedication of the providers. A resident missed Emily’s regularly scheduled wound care rounds at the facility because of a dialysis appointment. However, Emily arranged her schedule to return to the facility on an alternate day for the patient’s evaluation.
Additionally, he noted that the communication is great and easy to understand.
“We are lucky to have them [the practice] here,” Will said. “Emily is always great at providing education to the nurses on the spot at bedside.”
For a nursing facility considering a change or new wound care provider, Will said “Sign on without hesitancy. Dr. Novikov does a really incredible job.”
