Staff attends advanced wound care symposium

Dr. Novikov Wellness and Skin Care providers and scribes/practice assistants attended the 36th Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC)/Wound Healing Society (WHS) in National Harbor, Maryland the last week of April. The practice makes it a priority to educate patients and the community, as well as to continue learning experiences for the staff.

The conference is dedicated to the latest management, treatment, and prevention of wounds. It highlighted an expert line-up of faculty, discussions, and exposure to innovative, evidence-based practices, and techniques. It is attended by wound care professionals from around the world.

The SAWC symposium features presentations and discussions on the latest research and innovations in wound care. It provides an opportunity for healthcare professionals to connect and collaborate with others in the field of wound care. This leads to new partnerships and collaborations, and helps to strengthen the overall wound care community. In addition,

  • Health care professionals have exposure to new products and technologies and learn about how they might be incorporated into their practice.
  • Wound care specialists have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills.
  • The new knowledge gained will benefit patient healing outcomes.
