Kim Noe, PA-C has joined the provider team at Dr. Novikov Wellness and Skin Care.

Journey to Medicine

Kim’s journey into medicine began with a strong interest in science and a desire to help others. She initially pursued Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering with plans to work in pharmaceutical development. However, while working as a nursing technician at UT Medical Center, she found her true calling in direct patient care. This experience led her to pursue Physician Assistant (PA) school, becoming the first in her family to enter a medical provider role.

She is a recent grad from Lincoln Memorial University Physician Assistant School, where she completed their surgical specialty track. Her clinical background includes two years as a medical assistant in dermatology, where she developed a passion for the specialty.

“It is unique to be able to perform preventative screening, treat cancer, and improve someone’s quality of life all in a day’s work.” said Kim. “I especially enjoyed the surgical section of dermatology, spending as much time as I could learning from MOHs surgeons and assisting in as many surgical cases as possible.”

Her new role

She was drawn to Dr. Novikov’s practice for its strong focus on teaching and the blending of her passions for dermatology and surgery.

“Dr. Novikov goes above and beyond to develop PAs that are not only excellent at their craft but practice medicine with the utmost respect for their patients,” Kim said. “I wanted a small practice filled with empathy and passion for healthcare. I think I found the perfect place!”

In her role, Kim enjoys the fast-paced environment and the close connection to the local community. Her goal is to make a positive impact by providing excellent care while building meaningful relationships with her patients.

“I feel my biggest strength that I bring to the practice and patients is my willingness to learn and implement change,” Kim said. “I enjoy taking feedback from everyone around me including coworkers, patients, nurses, and staff and doing my best to improve everyday. Although, I will never know everything, I will do my best to research and find answers to everything I can. My hope is to be a provider everyone feels comfortable sending their family to because they know they will be cared for and receive kindness every step of the way.”

Kim takes a holistic approach to patient care, recognizing that patients are more than just their diagnosis. She focuses not only on treating the primary concern, but also on prevention, education, and making sure treatment plans are clear, practical, and accessible.

Fun Fact

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Kim and her fiancé recently relocated to New England and are enjoying exploring the area—and adjusting to the colder weather!

Kim is also a self-described hobby collector.

“I love to read, bake, paddle board, run, crochet, and cook.” she said. “I’m currently looking forward to starting to learn needlepoint and scrapbooking for this winter season. I try to find something new to try out every season of the year.”
