Dr. Novikov’s practice involves all aspects of outpatient/post acute care. He is committed to his patients and helps them wherever they are. He is currently on staff at large volume, advanced wound center as well as offering services at our state-of-the-art office in Northborough. He also sees patients at long-term care hospitals, nursing and rehabilitation centers and even performs home visits (on a limited basis).

In the very competitive world of health care reform, advanced wound care and minor surgery services have become essential as they prevent unnecessary er visits, reduce hospitalizations due to deterioration and help reduce overall healthcare costs. Dr. Novikov’s current readmission rates are 1% from a nursing home and 3% from a long term care hospital. Compare this to national average of 24.7% and 26% respectively. Having MD consultant in house results in great outcomes, patient satisfaction and significant savings to patients, acute care hospital and a long term facility.
Dr. Novikov is one of very few physicians fully committed to wound care and minor surgery. He constantly monitors his clinical outcomes. We utilize state-of-the-art EMR software which monitors healing % and average time to heal compare to other wound care centers across the country. Dr. Novikov’s healing rates are consistently 10% higher compare to other providers. Pressure ulcers healing rates are 20% higher than in a wound center. Dr. Novikov keeps himself up-to-date by attending national level conferences and other educational events on a regular basis. His continuing medical education hours are well above the required minimum.
