The patient, who wishes to remain anonymous, was impressed by the communication between her and the providers. Her primary care physician referred her to the practice after a leg wound was not healing as it should.
She said the injury was a “very bad gash on the leg on the shin bone near the ankle where the skin was so thin” it was difficult for the ER Doctor to use stitches on it all.
She found seeing a wound care specialist “extremely helpful” and was “very satisfied” with the care she received. After 7 weeks, she was healed and discharged.
“There was great communication and I was able to go home with supplies needed,” she said. “Every Friday at my appointment, they would check the wound, clean and debride it.”
She knew what needed to be done at home everyday: treat it, wrap it, and use compression stockings.
“I would recommend [the practice],” she said. “Everyone was professional, nice and capable. They were all pleasant to deal with, and even offered drinks and snacks. I was happy with the appointment times.”
