Patient Edward Jelley has been a long-time patient of the practice for “lymphedema on both legs, especially the right leg.”
Lymphedema, a chronic medical condition, occurs when excess lymphatic fluid accumulates, leading to swelling in specific body parts, typically the arms or legs.
Edward was happy to ring the healing bell at discharge.
He had only positive experiences at his appointments with the providers and staff. He had no long wait times and would absolutely recommend the practice to others.
“I couldn’t have asked for better treatment,” he said. “Nothing was neglected or overlooked.”
Due to his condition, Dr. Novikov recommended that he use a compression pump on his legs at home twice a day for an hour each time.
He felt communication on how to use it at home was good.
“I felt comfortable using it at home and think it helped a lot,” Edward said.
As part of his holistic approach with patients, Dr. Novikov discussed diet and exercise habits as components of the treatment plan for the patient’s lymphedema.
Edward reported that he has been using the treadmill at the gym more since he doesn’t have to set time aside for appointments.
