Three months after being referred to Dr. Novikov by visiting nurses, Mary Ann was able to ring the bell in the office three times to signify that her wound healed and she was able to be discharged from care.
Mary Ann said that this was the first time she needed wound care and was surprised there even were specialists for it.
“I didn’t know the process was possible,” she said. “It worked and all the care I got was successful. I have diabetes, so perhaps it took a little longer to heal. They knew that and acted accordingly.”
Mary Ann was very satisfied with all the service provided by both Dr. Novikov and the Physician Assistants. She especially liked that they explained what they were going to do very well.
Her son David said that without any prior experience with wound specialists, he and his mother didn’t know what they were all about and wondered what the value was to see a wound specialist.
“Once you see them work, you really get it,” he said. “That point was key to her healing as fast as she did.”
“All in all, a super job,” said Mary Ann.
