8 Questions to Ask Your Loved One’s Wound Care Provider

Wound care for loved ones in a nursing facility often happens when families are not able to be there. What should you be asking the wound care team? We came up with a list of 8 questions to ask and Dr. Novikov has the answers. Watch the full video.

Moles and skin tags – should you remove them?

The answer is it depends on each patient’s case.

If a skin tag is only a cosmetic concern and not causing irritation, bleeding, or pain, removal is optional. But if it’s getting caught on clothing, bleeding or becoming painful, you should see our skin specialists for assessment.

For moles, our providers use a dermatoscope to look for any atypical features that could indicate risk for skin cancer. If a mole appears abnormal or shows signs of change, we can surgically remove it as a medical necessity. Make your appointment today.
