Richard knows the benefits of seeing a wound care specialist.
He was referred to Dr. Novikov’s practice with venous ulcers by his primary care physician in January. He was discharged in only about five weeks with great healing results.
Richard felt that the care he received was a “pleasant experience.”
“It was easy to get an appointment,” he said. “The office was very accommodating.”
For a previous wound, he had received care at a larger wound care clinic in a hospital setting. He noticed there were longer wait times. Additionally, the healing process took much longer in comparison to being under the care of Dr. Novikov and his Physician Assistants.
Richard felt that everything was communicated well during his appointments, including what was required for wound care at home.
“The office took care of all the ordering of bandages and dressings needed at home,” he said. “The skin around the wound was red and warm to the touch, so antibiotics were prescribed.
