Nursing facility applauds consistency and accessibility

Consistency and accessibility. These are two important elements of Care One’s (Millbury, MA) partnership with Dr. Novikov Wellness and Skin Care per Staff Development Coordinator Angela Casavant, RN.

“Dr. Novikov is always ready to provide information and is very hands on,” she said. “He may send PAs but does his own check-ins. Today you tend to see less and less of doctors and more PAs. It’s comforting to know he is still there and can be easily reached if you want to talk to him directly.”

On average, 8-12 patients are seen during weekly wound rounds with the providers.

Angela said the consistency of the provider is also beneficial.

“Even though they are all trained by the same company, everyone’s perception is a little different,” said Angela. “I like the consistency.”

Communication is also strong both with the patients and the staff.

“Dr. Novikov takes the time to sit down with the nurses to educate them,” she said. “He always asks me if I need anything –help with materials to read and use with staff or offers a staff in-service. Dr. Novikov talks with the patients and with the family. He is really good with explaining things as are the PAs. He brings a personal touch and is very kind.”
