Introducing Scribe Brianna O’Neill

Introducing Scribe Brianna O’Neill

Brianna O’Neill joined our scribe team with a strong foundation in biology and a clear goal: to pursue a career in healthcare. She grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts, alongside her three older brothers. Her interest in medicine began in high school while taking advanced science courses. She continued to grow that interest at UMass Amherst, where she majored in biology. (Fun Fact: Brianna played for the UMass Women’s Hockey Team.)

“I fell in love with biology back in high school when I took AP Biology and the year after I took anatomy, which solidified my interest in pursuing a degree in biology in college with the goal to go into the healthcare field,” said Brianna.

Why she chose the scribe role

Brianna was drawn to the scribe position because of the opportunity to work closely with providers and gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.

“The scribe position appealed to me originally because of how close I would get to work with providers. It seemed like a fantastic position to both grow and learn,” she said. “I also found the idea of being able to go around to different nursing homes and facilities to be interesting as well.”

She’s already diving in, learning from the team and navigating the fast-paced environment of clinical care.

“So far I feel as though I have already been learning a ton from both the providers, other scribes, and Caroline,” she shared. “The most interesting part has been being able to go around to the different nursing homes and facilities with the providers and being able to meet the different nurses there and watch how they take care of the patients and their needs! It’s pretty amazing to see how they work.”

As she continues in the scribe role, Brianna hopes to build on her knowledge and prepare for PA school next year. “The expectation of the role is to be someone people can depend on, and be helpful in every aspect that I can.”

Her drive to be a dependable team member and eagerness to learn align perfectly with our mission—delivering high-quality, collaborative care across every setting we serve.

Welcome Brianna O’Neill.
